Foundation
Welcome to the Foundation Stage page. We are explorers and learn to be curious, confident, co-operative, and experimental. We have two classes; FB and FM.
FB is taught by Mrs Browne. FM is taught by Mrs Maidment. Both classes are supported by our TAs, Miss Day, Miss Ellis, Mrs Ward and Mrs Metcalf.
Our P.E and Forest School day is Monday.
Our library day is a Friday.
Autumn Term 1 - Happy to be me!
In Foundation our first topic of the Year is ‘Happy to be me!’.
This topic focuses on building a sense of belonging to our new school and building relationships with each other. We learn about how we are all unique, our bodies and who forms our families.
Autumn Term 2 - Over the Rainbow
This term we begin our learning by investigating colour in our topic ‘Over the Rainbow’. We discover the colours that are in a rainbow and perform a science experiment to make rainbows. We look at the colours in our natural environment and learn how the different seasons can affect the colour of our landscape. We read stories that involve colour, for example The Rainbow Fish’ and become artists exploring the various shades that we create.
