Hungerford Primary School is a ‘Healthy School’. Healthy School Status requires schools to meet criteria in four core health themes: Personal, Social and Health Education (including Sex and Relationship Education and Drug Education), Healthy Eating, Physical Activity and Emotional Wellbeing and Mental Health.
As a Healthy School, we:
- Promote physical, social and emotional health and equip pupils, staff and families with the skills and attitudes to make informed decisions about their health,
- Support pupils to do their best and build on their achievements,
- Recognise the importance of investing in health to assist in the process of raising children and young people's achievement levels,
- Involve the whole school community, parents, governors, staff and pupils in improving children's health, wellbeing and happiness, helping them to get the most out of life.
Flu immunisations will be delivered to children of all year groups at Hungerford Primary School by the West Berkshire Healthcare School Immunisation Team on Wednesday 2nd December 2020. Parental e-consent is required; please see further information in Medical Fact Sheets below.
