FHPS News and Events

Well, we had a promising start to the year, but then it all came to a halt, thanks to you know what! It's been a strange few months, but everyone in our school community had pulled together to support each other and hopefully things will be a little more 'normal' in September.

February's Jumble Sale was a hugely popluar event and raised a fantastic amount of over £1000. Dickens Hopgood Chidley sponsored the event, with Interprint of Swindon printing our leaflets free of charge. Christian Alba donated delicious bacon for butties and Tesco supplied buns and other refreshment items - as well as many other local businesses supporting is with raffle prizes.

We also successfully applied to the Co-op Community Fund for some IT skills booosting robots - so far we've raised over £300. This fundrasing will continue until November so please do remember to choose us as your local cause online and swipe your membership card when shopping in store. Follow this link or access our cause directly here.

You can also support us through West Berkshire Lottery Tickets. Buy tickets in support of FHPS, and be in with a chance of winning some cash yourself. Follow this link.

Upcoming Events

All queries about events should be made to Friends of Hungerford Primary School. Please note dates and events are subject to change.

Unfortunately our upcoming events were cancelled due to COVID-19. We are therefore very keen to apply for grants wherever possible. If you have any ideas on grant applications and/or could help with this, please do get in touch.

We are due to be part of Tesco's Bags of Help scheme soon and monies raised will go to continued improvements and developments to the school's outdoor play areas.

We plan to bring the Jumble Sale back in February 2021 (pandemics allowing of course). If your company would like to sponsor us, we'd love to hear from you. In particular, we are keen to secure a big van next time and would love to hear from anyone who could help with this!
